Banting Wong is a chartered engineer with over 10 years of experiences and in-depth knowledge in acoustics, with geological coverage in Hong Kong, Macau, Greater China, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Vietnam, Bangkok. His areas of specialty include the Railway N&V Control, Building Acoustics, Finite Element Analysis, Construction N&V, Machine Vibration Prognosis, etc.
Ting Cai has 8 years R&D and 6 years engineering experience at noise and vibration assessment and control. He is specialized in ground-borne noise, railway noise and vibration etc. Besides, he has published 13 papers and contributed to several journals and conferences.
CY Chan has 13 years of extensive consultancy experience in acoustics, including railway noise and vibration control, architectural acoustics design and construction noise. He has participated in many infrastructural project including Kowloon Southern Link, West Island Line, Express Railway Link, South Island Line, Kwun Tong Line Extension and Shatin to Central Link. He has been a corporate member of the Hong Kong Institute of Acoustics (MHKIOA) since Year 2011.
Dr. Yongmin Song is a senior environmental engineer specialised in acoustic design, noise and vibration and control fields. His 12 years of experience involves acoustic design for more than 50 large-scale projects, acoustic engineering for more than 130 projects, and more than 50 published papers.
Dr. Hu has solid experience in building services both in theoretical and application aspects. He has well knowledge in MEP design, ranging from concept stage to handover stage. The projects he got involved including high-end shopping mall, 5-star hotel, Grade A office, condo, service apartments, research center, industry factories, and so on. Specialized in project management, he is particularly familiar with design management, construction management, tender, testing and commissioning, project diagnostics, etc. He is also experienced in CFD simulation and analysis, energy consumption simulation for buildings, systematic energy saving for buildings, green building consultancy, BIM analysis and design commissioning for LEED accreditation.
Eddy Ng has taken a leading role in over 80+ acoustics, noise and vibration projects. Driven by his passion and a fascination for sound and vibration, he has dedicated his studies and professional career to the field of architectural acoustics. He has been engaged in a wide area of acoustics including control and study of environmental, structural noise and vibration, architectural acoustic design, retrofit acoustic analysis, construction monitoring and supervision, testing and commissioning and sound system acoustic design. Aside from his academic studies and consulting work, he has contributed to several journals and conferences, including the Acoustics 2012 Hong Kong, 5th Cross-strait Many Cities Symposium on Acoustics Hong Kong and Internoise 2018 Chicago.
Dr. Kelvin Siu studies the influence of vibration and oscillation on the microscopic behavior and mechanical properties of materials. He also has experience in dynamic FEA simulations.
Prof. Yang works in the National Engineering Research Center of Turbogenerator Vibration of the Southeast University. He has long been engaged in vibration and analysis, fault diagnosis and predictive maintenance of rotating machinery. He is currently a member of the Standing Committee of the Rotor Dynamics Branch of the Chinese Society of Vibration Engineering and a member of the National Power Generation Equipment Conditioning Experts Committee.
Prof. Jing received his B.S. degree from Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China, M.S. degree and PhD degree in Robotics from Shenyang Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shenyang, China, respectively. Thereafter, he received a PhD degree in nonlinear systems and signal processing from the Department of Automatic Control and Systems Engineering, University of Sheffield, Sheffield, U.K. His current research interests are generally related to Nonlinear Dynamics, Vibration, and Control focusing on theory and methods for employing nonlinear benefits in engineering, including nonlinear frequency domain methods, nonlinear system identification or signal processing, vibration control, robust control, sensor technology, energy harvesting, nonlinear fault diagnosis or information processing, bio-inspired systems and methods, bio-inspired robotics and control etc..
He is now a Professor with the Department of Mechanical Engineering, City University of Hong Kong (CityU) since Dec 2021.
Prof. Huang obtained his double B.Sc. degrees in Applied Physics and Mathematics from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, M.Sc. in Materials Engineering from Shanghai Institute of Metallurgy and Ph.D in Materials Science from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.
He is currently a Professor in the Department of Applied Physics, Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He has been a Guest Editor for Composites Part A and Key Engineering Materials. He is currently on the editorial board of Science of Advanced Materials and Central European Journal of Engineering. He has also delivered many invited talks or served as symposium chairman at international conferences.
Prof. Guangyi Shi, a postdoctoral fellow at the State Key Laboratory of Micro and Nano Processing Technology of Peking University in 2009, under the tutelage of Academician Wang Yangyuan, a famous Chinese microelectronics expert, and Professor Jin Yufeng, an integrated circuit expert. In 2007, he graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, majoring in Automation and Computer-Aided Engineering, and received a Ph.D. Supervisor Professor Li Wenjung (IEEE Fellow, ASME Fellow, Chairman of the IEEE Nano Association, and the current Associate Provost (Resources Planning) of the City University of Hong Kong). He graduated from the Beijing Institute of Technology in 2004, instructed by Professor Huang Qiang, a Chinese humanoid robot expert (973 Chief Scientist, IEEE Fellow).
Dr. Qingyun Li, is a big data & IoT expert in HK. He is also an adjunct professor in Xuzhou University of Technology. His research interests include: Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, Machine Learning, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Big Data and so on. He has published papers in IEEE Security & Privacy, The Computer Journal, Journal of System and Management Sciences, International Journal of RF Technologies, Education and Information Technologies, International Journal of Modern Education and Computer Science, BMC Medical Education and so on.
